Mr. Ramlogan Roopnarinesingh (President) is the owner/Managing Director of Logan contracting & Transport Services Ltd, a company he formed thirty (30) years ago. Logan Contracting & Transport Services Ltd works in a wide range of projects in the construction sector.
Prior to establishing his own company, Mr. Roopnarinesingh worked with Bariod Ltd and then moved on to his father’s sawmill business. Watching his father interacting with clients left a lasting impression that would fuel his passion to one day start his own business. He finally started his own construction company in 1986. He provides oversight of every aspect of his company from business development to ensuring the continuing efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility of his organization.
He uses his knowledge, skills and experience to enhance the quality of his projects in order to ensure that he maintains his customers’ satisfaction.
Mr. Glenn Mahabirsingh (Vice President)is the Executive Manager, Engineering and Construction at Coosal’s Group of Companies. Mr. Mahabirsingh joined Coosal’s in 2012 and has twenty-one (21) years’ experience within the Construction Sector; the majority of his experience has been in Project Management, Construction Management and Contacts Administration.
Mr. Mahabirsingh holds a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of the West Indies. Prior to joining Coosal’s, Mr. Mahabirsingh held various management positions at eTecK, Home Construction Limited, West Atlantic Construction Co. Ltd and Vikab Engineering Consultants Limited.
Mr. Mahabirsingh has manage and delivered projects of a complex nature spanning various economic sectors which includes large land developments, mass single and multi-family, high-rise housing, commercial and retail shopping facilities, water transmission and distribution systems, waste water treatment facilities, bridges, roads, light manufacturing facilities, schools and a hotel facility. Over a cumulative period of six (6) years he has served actively in the Trinidad and Tobago Contractors Association (TTCA) both in the capacity of Director and Vice President.
Mr. Mikey Joseph is the founder and Managing Director of Structural and Mechanical Agencies Limited, specializing in steel fabrication, erection and general construction. He is also the founder and Chairman of Termite Attack Limited, a pest management firm and a Partner in SMAL Engineering Services Ltd a design consultancy firm.
A graduate of San Fernando Technical Institute, Mr. Joseph started his professional career as a Project Manager at Skill Tech General Services and later, Director at KAB Construction Limited before establishing his business career in 1981.
He is an Honorary Fellow of the Quarry Association of Trinidad & Tobago, a past member of three government appointed committees - Construction Industry Oversight, Procurement Implementation and the cabinet appointed Taskforce on Technical & Vocational Training.
Mr. Hugh Schamber (Secretary/Treasurer) is the Managing Director of Weathershield Systems Caribbean Limited and has been in their employ since inception in 1994. Mr. Schamber, with 42 years construction industry experience, has worked throughout the Caribbean and Canada.
He was educated at the University of Lethbridge and the University of Alberta, both in Canada, and attained Canadian Carpentry Certification at both Provincial and National level. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Henley, UK and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Brunel University, UK.
Mr. Schamber also serves as a Director of NH International (Caribbean) Limited, the Sub-Contractors of Trinidad and Tobago and Joint Consultative Council for the Construction Industry.
Mr. Thomas Chanona has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, the last 30 years as the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Kee-Chanona Limited. Mr. Chanona has steered KCL in the successful delivery of major projects in Trinidad and Tobago as well as in some territories of the Eastern Caribbean.
His specialties are Civil Engineering, Contract Administration and Construction/Project Management. He is well known within the industry as an executive who is proactive in problem solving, who strives continuously to improve the operational efficiency of the company.
Mr. Chanona is the holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the West Indies. He is a Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineering, a Fellow of the Association of Professional Engineers and an Incorporated member with the Chartered Institute of Building.
Mr. Shashi Mahaseis currently the Operations Manager – Bestcrete Division at Abel Building Solutions (ABS), a member of the Ansa McAL Group of Companies. He has over 17 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry in various capacities, having spent time at the Clay Division of ABS as well.
Mr. Mahase holds a B.Sc. in Information Technology from the University of the West Indies followed by an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. He has also obtained certification in a number of areas including Project Management and Leadership training.
Mrs. Deborah Costelloe is the CEO and co-founder of Lifetime Roofing Ltd. Under her leadership, Lifetime Roofing captured many international and local awards in the construction industry including Contractor of the Year in 2013, Best residential roofing project in 1998, and most innovative roofing solution in 1990.
Mrs Costelloe holds a BA in Science from McMaster University and BA in Education from University of Western Ontario. She is the secretary for the Industrial Estate Tennants Association and Chairman of the Calabash Foundation for the Arts. In addition she served as a Deputy Chairman of Chaguaramas Development Authority from 2012 - 2015 and is presently a steering committee member for the Emerging and Sustainable Cities Initiative from 2014 - 2015.
Mr. Rodney Cowan, a former student of Presentation College (San Fernando) continued his education at the University of the West Indies with a BSc. in Management, followed by a Masters of Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University.
Mr. Cowan has been employed with the Trinidad Cement Limited for over twenty years and the Marketing Manager from 2004 to present. Mr. Cowan is currently serving his third term as a Director on the board of the Trinidad and Tobago Contractors Association.
Mr. Christopher Garcia is a former student of Fatima College (class of 1975) and of the University of Florida, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction.
During his 36 years in the industry he has held various positions including; Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Manager and General Manager in several construction and property development companies throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Garcia, a former president of the Trinidad and Tobago Contractor’s Association, co-founded CG Construction Services Ltd. in 1999 where he currently holds the position of Managing Director.
